Satellite Internet provides quick always on internet access, but is it right for online gamers?

Pros: One thing that you need with internet gaming is lightning fast connection speeds. You get that with satellite internet. Connection speeds can be as much as 10 times faster than standard dial up internet. So if you are coming from a dial up connection, chances are that you will see a dramatic improvement with satellite internet gaming.

Cons: The downside to satellite internet is that there is a lag time or higher latency. The signal must travel over 23000 miles to the satellite and then back down again to your computer. This will give you about a quarter second lag time. This isn't much, but with games requiring quick reflexes, it may hinder your ability to play well.
